WELCOME TO THE WOOL PARISH NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN WEBSITE
The Parish Council decided to create a Neighbourhood Plan to:
Develop a shared vision for Wool, Bovington and East Burton which is led by local people
Increase the Parish Council’s proportion of money generated by developments to improve our Parish
Identify and protect important local green spaces
Influence what new homes should be like
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN IS NOT A WAY TO STOP DEVELOPMENT BUT CAN HOPEFULLY SHAPE IT
The first stage in developing the Neighbourhood Plan is a questionnaire which has been sent to every household in the Parish. The questionnaire is your chance to contribute to how Wool, Bovington and East Burton will look over the next 25 years.
The questionnaire can be completed online HERE. The closing date for submitting your response is 31 October 2019.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Once the Steering Group has analysed your responses, they will be able to identify what the Neighbourhood Plan should focus on. They will then start working on the Plan, communicating and seeking further opinion as they progress.
Neighbourhood Plans usually take a few years to be developed. At the end of the process you will have the opportunity to vote on whether the plan should be accepted.
